ABOUT ME (IRL)

Hi! I'm Harry Chalmers, and I'm the philosopher behind the avatar. I have a Ph.D. in philosophy from Brown University, and I've taught philosophy and writing for several years.

I became a VTuber because I feel that VTubing is rich with creative possibilities for philosophical content. While VTubing's educational potential seems to me largely untapped, I'm hopeful that I can do my part to show how VTubing can be a force for intellectual development and personal growth. (I go into more detail on these thoughts in this Substack post.)

When I'm not VTubing, I enjoy reading, writing, walking, gaming, and finding cats to pet.
